Callaway Golf
In the early 1990's, Ely Callaway had a simple vision- make golf clubs easier
to hit and the game will be more enjoyable. Things have come a long way since
the original Big Bertha driver created back in 1991. It's amazing how small a
190cc driver head looks now, isn't it? It's funny, and a bit ironic, to think

In the early 1990's, Ely Callaway had a simple vision- make golf clubs easier
to hit and the game will be more enjoyable. Things have come a long way since
the original Big Bertha driver created back in 1991. It's amazing how small a
190cc driver head looks now, isn't it? It's funny, and a bit ironic, to think
that the name of the most popular metalwood of all time, the Callaway Big Bertha
driver, came from the great German Big Bertha howitzer. Something with such a
negative connotation now is thought of with such a positive association by
millions of golfers all over the world. A bit more fittingly, the first Callaway
golf ball was called the Rule 35. Since there are 34 rules in this great game,
Callaway golf was promoting the 35th rule, to have fun!
Today, Callaway Golf's headquarters in Carlsbad, CA still has one of the most
sophisticated R&D departments anywhere, and is producing wonderful clubs to help
you improve your game like the Callaway Diablo Edge Driver and the Diablo Edge
Irons, both designed for the ultimate forgiveness and playability to allow you
to truly grip it and rip it. Also, try the Callaway FT-iZ driver and FT-iZ
fairway woods and hybrids. The perfect complement for all of these clubs would
be the Callaway Tour I(s) or the Callaway Tour I(z) golf balls, both 4 piece
golf balls with redefined HEX aerodynamics to reduce drag even further for a
longer, more stable ball flight. Need proof? Just ask Phil Mickelson or Ernie
Els, their thoughts, last I checked I'd gladly trade bank accounts with either
of them!
